The B-Frame Drafting Desk was created for DBC City Bike Design as a line drafting desks for the company. I tried to share as many of the construction methods as I could between bicycle crafting and the drafting desk. The frame of the drafting desk is very similar to that of a bicycle and uses the same materials and finishing methods. The desk is designed so that the top can be rotated to match the angle that the user prefers for working. To extend the desk top, the user rotates the switch a quarter turn, this unlocks the rear columns and lets the table angle be set. Once the desired angle has been set the switch is turned back into place, locking the system securely.
